Katie Omberg recently graduated in 2016 from Boston University School of Theology with a Masters in Divinity. A native of Washington, DC, she is a member of First Church in Cambridge, UCC and is discerning a call to ministry while working as the Director of Community Engagement at City Mission, Boston. Outside of work, she is involved in the Boston chapter of Black & Pink, a national prison abolition "open family" of LGBTQ/HIV+ prisoners, formerly incarcerated people, and outside members. Katie is also a member of the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth, a state commission that seeks to make the Bay State a place where queer youth can thrive. Other church involvement includes preaching at MCC Boston and attending the Open Table Dinner Church.
