We host Bible studies throughout the year, focusing on the curiosity and needs of our community as well as the liturgical season. We believe the Bible is the inspired and ancient word of God with a lot to teach us about how to navigate the modern world, and we bring to all of our biblical reading our God-given intellect and critical reasoning capacity. Past Bible study topics have included Defense Against the Dark Arts, Living the Questions, and Doubt/Faith.
During Lent, we often host a midweek House Church Soup Supper and Study, when we share a simple meal and focus on our Lenten theme. Past Lenten themes have included Spiritual Autobiographies, the Seven Deadly Sins, Making the Faith Our Own, and the Marks of Discipleship.
Our current Bible study is a 12-session series on the Psalms, with special attention to the manifold emotions they express, led by Pastor Katie. Join us every 2nd and 4th Monday from May 14 - Aug 13, from 6:30 - 7:45pm in the Chapel.
