Do you remember when you were a kid, and you received a Christmas gift - maybe from a distant relative who didn't really seem to 'get' you - that you couldn't quite muster up the enthusiasm for that you knew you should? Yeah, me too.
The scripture reading for this Sunday is about spiritual gifts, and the idea that they're meant to be shared. I'll tell some stories about the different ways in which we are called to discover and share our gifts - even when we feel like we have no clue what they are, how to use them, or whether we even wanted the ones we got in the first place. And you can bet I'll talk about the fast approaching departure of our beloved Molly, who has helped shepherd so many of our spiritual gifts, and how we might be feeling about that now that she's leaving.
Rebecca Horne is our able liturgist! Molly will pray with us, Jeff will welcome us. Greg and choir amp up the music for this penultimate-Sunday-with-our-lead-pastor.
After worship, stay upstairs for a quick rehearsal for January 24th Brave! dance flash mob!
